No installer. No wall unit. No app. Here's what you actually need to charge a LEKI overnight.
Every LEKI ships with a portable charger that plugs into a standard Australian 10A wall socket — the same one your kettle uses. That's it. No installer, no wall box, no permit, no council forms.
How long it actually takes
A full charge from 0–100% takes about 3.5 hours on the Bolt and 4 hours on the Surge. In practice, almost no one charges from empty. You plug in when you get home with 40-60% left, and unplug in the morning topped up.
Garage, carport, or kerbside?
If you have a garage or covered carport, you're set. Screw a hook in the wall for the cable and forget about it.
If you park on the street, most owners charge overnight from an outdoor GPO or a nearby socket. The included cable is 5 metres. Longer weatherproof extensions are cheap and available at any hardware store.
Fast-charging, when you want it
The Surge supports Type 2 fast-charging for road-trip days — 20–80% in about 45 minutes at any public AC charger. You won't need it often, but it's the difference between 'weekend commuter' and 'Sunday backroad Bike'.
